Original Music
Since 2018 I've been busy with music, but ever since my time at Art N Sound I've really improved myself in music production. If we look at the songs below this part of text we can take "I'm A Bitch" as the start of my journey (there are a lot of songs we can start my journey of, but you can check those out on my SoundCloud or Youtube). With the song "Motive" (which was made for a music challenge the teachers gave us: a love song that is allowed to last 1.30 minutes) I started to use drumkits outside of FL Studio, with "Our Fucked Up New Love Story" I started to learn how to use chords and chord progressions and with "Better With You" I started to use those and autotune on my voice. With the Kpop album I used all this knowledge and started recording those songs in a studio, which I continued doing in "You Are All I Need". After hearing how much better the quality had gotten by the equipment, I decided to make an extended version of "Motive" and rerecorded this in the studio as well. The increase in quality made me decide to invest in better recording equipment and I've been using these since "This Is How I'm Meant To Be".
Of course these are not all the songs I've ever made. There are way more songs to be found in the playlist below the songs.
KAYA - AMP Studio - Story Album (2025)
During my second time in the Art 'n Sound minor, which had been rebranded by AMP Studio at the time, I decided to do my own project.
I've been wanting to do this project for a while and I already had the story figured out in my head. It would be about two princes falling in love, yet their kingdoms being homophobic to a point where they were hunted.
Sadly I never got to finish this project, but I've been able to make a produced version of the first song and a demo of the second one.
The style of KAYA is heavily inspired by the albums Folklore & Evermore made by Taylor Swift. In these albums Taylor also shares a story from a third person perspective of made up characters and she does this in this folk/fairytale style that I also wanted to try out with this album.
CMD'M POP - Art 'n Sound - Kpop EP (2023)
For my first minor in the second year at NHL Stenden, Leeuwarden (March 2023) I had to make an EP in a certain style picked out by myself, consisting of three songs which would all tell a cohesive story, which would touch a world problem subject. During this time I made three songs in a Kpop style, telling the story of how Social Media can change your self image and the only way to feel happy is by accepting and loving yourself. Since Kpop is usually sang by a group, I decided to make a virtual Kpop group, which takes a lot of inspiration from K/DA by League of Legends. The characters have been voiced by some of my friends and they've been drawn by my wonderful partner, Nick Feringa. All the characters also have a backstory and their own views on life and the group. You can find those in the story tab.

Music Mixing & Edits (2016 - now)
My music adventure didn't start with my own music, though. Sine 2016 I've been keeping myself busy from time to time with making mashups (a remix style that mixes instrumentals and acapellas of different songs together). It started with only two songs, but after improving in this, I decided to make bigger mashups, Megamixes of certain artists and edit one song in a way it would become bigger, like an extended version.
Under this part of text I posted examples of what I'm talking about. If you're interested in the whole improvement journey, you can click on the links below to go to YouTube playlists of the certain style.
